Tight shots on feathers are hard to pull off, but you've done a great job with this series, Carla.  I really like all of them.  Whenever I find the downy tertiary feathers in the field I try to put them into someone's hand so that they can feel that instant warmth that these feathers give.  It's really amazing how warm they are.
