This was a tree on an archaeological site that we discovered a few years back in the deep dark woods of northern Wisconsin when we were conducting archaeological survey for the U.S.Forest Service.  It's probably about 10 miles from the nearest paved road and about 30 from the nearest small town.  This was from the same timeframe as my photograph "Dragontree".  Glad you like it!
