I admit that I was playing with the contrast on this one.  The backlighting allowed for the "face" to  show up a little better, but this is actually a photograph of a critter hole in the snow. The darkness of the "face" is actually the leaves an debris that are below the snow.  It gives kind of a dimensional reversal as a result.

Is this a rock in some dried paint? Interesting to look at, especially trying to figure out what it is!
