Thanks, Lisa!  This is the geology geek in me coming out.  This is a granitic boulder that has been ice-wedged apart, but has remained in situ.  It does exhibit many possibilities.

this is particularly interesting to me, bob. something about the shapes make my mind go to many possibilities. you have an excellent eye for "the possible" in your photographs!
