Thanks Lisa. I enjoy your description almost more than the photo itself! There are a lot of layers in it: the window of the train, the guy on the railing on the other side, the girl waiting. It is mundane in the sense that we do see these scenes all the time and yet...
i agree with paul about the motion. i love shots like this of architecture and people, because we see this so much during the day. i like the mixture of the sturdy stillness of buildings and the fluid life of people running in and out of them. i love the many lines in this and the many surface textures. i feel like i'm there!
I think the reflections and the slight angles do give it a sense of motion.
I love the "feel" of this photo. There is motion in it even as the subject is still. More of a sketch than a photo. Too much reflection...
