where creative minds can interact

I sometimes wonder if this isn't the state of faith in today's world. Crumbling, outdated and irrelevant. I am glad to report that sentiment does not reflect on the state of my own personal faith.

This picture is so telling. Oh the memories on the crumbling walls!  They let this little church fall while they build their McChurches. Your pic is woth a thousand words.

Very nice capture, Rick!    It does speak to the neglected nature of our  spiritual culture.  I'm not a person who needs a building to worship in, but I appreciate each and every house of worship which I encounter in this world.  This one still holds hope and at least reminds us of the spiritualy minded folks who built it long ago. Thanks for posting this.

Beautiful and sad at the same time.

Neat shot . . . but it makes me want to cry when i see places like this fall to ruin.  I can only imagine how glorious it must have been in its day.

isn't it amazing how easily faith gets mixed in with something connected with fear? religions so often use fear to force faith. what a terrible mixed message. what a mess! you're so right.

I mean that it appears to me that 'faith' is in shambles, out of the loop, far afield, out of focus, bent on mistrust, hurtful, powerfully twisted, corrupted in its mission. Many churches seem to be political tools rather than house of worship and sanctuary. Yes they are functioning and powerful but far adrift from their foundations. At least that's my take on it. And yes, I thought it was a great photo showing something that was once relevant but long since forgotten.

it worries me that it isn't the state of alot of mainstream churches. everything has gone so fanatical it seems. but this looks like it was beautiful in its day. i wish someone would renovate it!!! beautiful pic, rick. thanks.
