i have not been able to deal with this heat for the last two weeks. something about it is driving me nuts. i don't know how you can stand it. tomorrow will be cooler though. and this can't last. so that's good. but i would love a cool breeze NOW.

We spend a lot of time over in PA! Our daughter lived for a couple of years in Old City (smack dab in between the Betsy Ross house and the new Constitution Center) and two of our favorite places to spend a night out are over there (one in Lafyette Hill, the other in Ambler) plus we seem to go to a lot of festivals over there!

I'd have to say the best thing NJ has going for it are the beaches. We're looking to maybe retire there.

Hi Donna, sorry it's taken me so long to write back...sometimes I just don't know where the time goes! LOL...re: Baking...I just do simple things with Rachel for now, fairy cakes, Maderia cakes, fruit loaves, pancakes, scones...& not forgetting the good old chocolate Rice Krispie/Cornflakes cakes...which is the messiest of all as she just can't help herself from trying to lick her fingers while in the middle of spooning in the mixture! she really loves to get into baking mode & to be honest I'd rather she was learning something rather than sitting watching tv...This week I've baked fruit loaves, delicious with butter & a cup of tea/coffee...mmmm

I back both plain & fruit scones...depends on what Tony fancies eating...LOL...very easy recipe, quick & best of all they never fail!!! Hope that you are well... x
