Vickie, LOVED your doggie photos (kitty one ,too, I guess!). I, too, "lost" BOTH my parents just last year. I totally relate to your dad's "style/ways" ; however, that is, my MOM was too similar to your dad's description.....I did like somersaults to please my mom ...to hear a "thank you" , or to hear her say ,"I love you, Jodie"......she would second that , if I said it to her first. She was "tough" and even after my first "true" love dumped me, she stated " Toughen up...crying gets you nowhere.." Point is, thanks for "sharing" your writing and photo of your dad.....I don't think I am alone in sharing these feelings/thoughts. sincerely,, Jodie
