This group game is for anyone who wants to test their movie quote knowledge. Anyone can put up a quote and anyone can guess who said it and it what movie. But you are ON YOUR HONOR to not look it up!!!!
It's been over a week, so the Bette Davis challenge is pretty much lost. The movie was ALL ABOUT EVE, and it's the classic portrait of a grim, bitter, alcoholic former Hollywood star.
I don't know enough about movie trivia, but I'm throwing my hat in the ring for "a genuine son of a bitch" having been said by Jack Nicholson (it almost sounds like 5 EASY PIECES).
hi, pamela. quote the quote you are answering and throw in your answer. you are correct about woody allen and annie hall! ding ding ding! you are incorrect about genuine son of a bitch..that one is still open. you are CORRECT about bette davis. give the girl two out of three!!!
"It doesn't matter if the guy is perfect or the girl is perfect, as long as they are perfect for each other." I'm going to take a wild guess: the movie is SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE and the actor is Tom Hanks. (I seldom remember character names unless they are legendary.)
As to Shirley MacLaine in THE APARTMENT, all I remember is the character is a call girl and the costar is Jack Lemmon, but I don't remember their names.
pamela, nope. good guess though! maryrose, wins on cosmo in moonstruck! good for you!! maryrose also wins for get busy living or get busy dying! pamela keep trying. you're close....
"To begin with, this case should never have come to trial. The state has not produced one iota of medical evidence that the crime Tom Robinson is charged with ever took place... It has relied instead upon the testimony of two witnesses, whose evidence has not only been called into serious question on cross-examination, but has been flatly contradicted by the defendant. "

"This is my right; it is the right of every human being. I choose not the suffocating anesthetic of the suburbs, but the violent jolt of the Capital, that is my choice. The meanest patient, yes, even the very lowest is allowed some say in the matter of her own prescription. Thereby she defines her humanity."
I dunno about Carla's, but I'm going to toss this one in for people to guess at: "...any guy with a conscience has a right to turn soft. Am I right, Louise?"
Just peekin' in real quick- don't know the glue sniffing quote. Got depressed again over the Virginia Woolf quote, think it's lookin' like folks are comin' back to the game. :-)
I think it helps if we have the same movies in common... ;-)

Actually, no, Wiffle, but thanks for guessing. (Hint: It's sort of a classic movie. This quote was used in a book about feminism in the days of women's lib, when the movie was recent and controversial.)

The "Best Fascist Dictator" quote is, of course, Woody Allen, and I believe the movie was ANNIE HALL.
