You can can only find music this good in someones backyard. http://youtu.be/dM-SFwTjN7k Carrie Elkin leads the lovely ladys line up, with Liz Longley, Nicolette Good, Devon Sproule, Dana Falconberry, and Raina Rose in closing "Girls Gone Wyldwood Volume II" with a tribute to John Prine at the Wyldwood.
What I like about that version is the intro. The intro is important. It lets you gather up the listeners, get them in sync with the tempo of the words to come.
Danny Schmidt is another musician good with the intro. Danny has been called by many as a modern day Dave Carter.
I also listen to a lot of Krista Detor.
What is exciting is that Tracy was packing to move and found a box of tapes, all unrelease songs she and Dave did. One CD had been published. "Little
Blue Egg".
oh i'm so glad dave mentioned them. maryanne, you are going to LOVE THEM. sadly dave passed away and tracy is solo. but those songs together are absolutely amazing!
Dave, thanks for the link! I had never heard the music of Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer! I've fallen in love!
This is something I can loop through and listen to all afternoon. I never get tired of it
"When I Go" with Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer.
On this windy overcast day in Colorado I am listening to Lost In The Trees
