Very seldom to I see movies that hold my attention, so I rarely go.  But I saw "The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel" today and was keenly aware I was grinning through the entire film.  It is delightful, funny, charming and beautifully crafted.  The premise is a group of senior citizens who had never met each other come together in India as a result of life changing events ie retirement, death of a spouse, declining health and how they recreate themselves and embrace their lives.  My parents who are both in their 80's and huge critics also enjoyed it immensely.  I adore this movie and think anyone at any age would find it inspiring. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Trailer Official [HD] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDY89LYxK0w

We saw "Rio" last week.  It's an animated movie about the last male Blue Macaw, taken from the Rainforest in Brazil and smuggled to the US.  His box falls off the truck in Moose Lake, MN and he's rescued by a little girl, who names him Blu.  They grow up together. A scientist from Brazil tracks them down and asks them to come to Rio, where he has the last female!  From there it is a fun and excited ride!  Both, the girl and Blu find adventure, make friends, and fall in love!  Cute, funny, and a good message about conservation and endangered species!  We loved it!!

"spanglish" was on tv today, and i just love that movie. cloris leachman is so fantastic as are all the characters. but her line to tea leoni "sometimes, dear, your low self esteem is just common sense" is classic! :-)

i'm watching an old movie i like that turned up on tv..."frankie and johnny" with al pacino and michele pfiefer. it's a sweet tale about two wounded adults who come together to make love and life happen. the acting is excellent. simple story, well written, well acted.....good stuff.

Ahhh, you saw Lorenzo's Oil? I didn't even know anyone saw it. I caught it by accident ages ago, and I loved it. Unexpectedly! I hope anyone who hasn't seen it checks it out. Susan Sarandon is fabulous in it.
