I just watched (500) Days of Summer. Good movie. It's a story about love but not a love story. Left me feeling very weird, which I like because it means it affected me deeply. I recommend it.
i love babe too! to me it's one of those perfect movies. the pace, the art, the characters, the fable, the humor, the photography....it's just a wonderful little film in every respect!

BABE!! I love that movie. The little singing mice in the corners always make me chuckle. I tried this once with the little boys and they couldn't get into it. I may have to try again. They both love animals, especially sheep and herders!
you know what i like? when someone's old barn becomes the movie screen. that is so cool. it sounds a little like your summer outdoor movie thing might be public domain movies. that is fun. the movies can be a little odd that way, but still fun. and often, that is the only way to afford something like this. the community experience makes them even more enjoyable!
Yes, I can't wait! I've never been to a drive-in. This one is 'bring your own blanket or chair'! Apparently there's still a drive-in theatre in New Brunswick somewhere. Probably in the middle of nowhere!
oh ...i haven't seen an outdoor movie in AGES! what a great experience!!! i remember drive-ins from when i was little, and that was so fun! you're going to love The Thin Man, helen. That whole series is awesome!
During the summer where I live, they screen classic movies outdoors for free in downtown on a Sunday evening. It's a great viewing experience watching classic movies under the stars! Last Sunday was the first week, and they showed Alice in Wonderland from 1933. It was quite strange in parts (as it should be!), and a couple of the characters are played by Cary Grant and Gary Cooper, although you couldn't really tell. Next week it's The Thin Man. I've wanted to watch it for ages, so I'm really looking forward to that one!
