world of wiffledust

where creative minds can interact

autumn audaciously sachets its big rustley skirts of leafdom all around my home
in september the rehearsals begin
in october the orchestra files in
then suddenly the daylight dims
and the leafy chorus girls begin their can can in the wind

i prefer the corner window seat for this show
where i tuck my legs up under me just so
i can lean to the right and free my left hand
with which i color and scribble while the trees wiggle to the band
and the leafy chorus girls do that fan fan can can
in the rustley bustley heaps of colors
of burnt siennas and of fried zucchinis
just for me to watch from the side of my knees
in the corner
where i color and scribble
with two fingers crossed behind my middle about being a summer mourner

This is fantastic Lisa! It has a great rhythm to it. I really like that you've included yourself in the descriptions. It makes it more interesting to me, rather than only a description of autumn.
