Laundry day. This picture reminds me of a time in my life that we did use a scrub board to wash our clothing! There was also a time when my mom bought a mangle, and made me iron all the linens in addition to all our clothing. I am remembering learning how to iron jeans via the mangle and shirts were the hardest! I wonder, if what I think is a mangle is rollers for squeezing water out of the fabrics, like the rollers we used to use that were bolted to a wooden table next to the scrub barrel, and also the rollers on original wash machines .. oh gosh, lots of memories! Ever stick your fingers in one of those rollers? Ouch!
