I was so sad to see this big tree being carted away I wrote a lyric about it, to the tune of "Deportee" by Townes Van Zandt: "Goodbye, lovely larch/Goodbye, stately elm tree/Adios, though amigos a hundred years you be./You won't have a name when you lie on some green plain;/All they will call you will be/A mulched tree."
