i hope you have a great week too, rosemary! go on over to the forum section and tell me about movies that have inspired your creativity. when you feel like it!!! happy saturday!
Hi, Rosemary~
We've been twice and both times our weather was beautiful, so I guess we were lucky! The first time we were there for 14 days and slept in 9 different hotels - we were all over from the Lowlands to Inverness, with a side trip to Barra (okay, so maybe the weather could have been better for the trip out there!). Way too little time in too many places for one trip. The second time we were on Arran (I think my favorite place in Scotland, so far) and spent a little time in Edinburgh, the area around St. Andrews and Oban (for the ferry to Iona).
You're right about the internet! It helps make the world a little smaller, allowing us to meet a lot of people we might have never had the pleasure to know. So, what part of Scotland are you in??
So what did you bake?? I'm just starting to get back into the "baking mood" again....as the weather cools off here on the east coast, I am now more inclined to turn on my oven again. Up into September, it was just too flippin' HOT,,,,,Now the leaves are starting to fall, and it's starting to feel like autumn, finally. I LOVE this time of year!!!!!!
Your home area sounds lovely! We flew in and out of Glasgow both times and I've always been sorry we didn't have more time in the city. One of my top "things to do" for our next trip over (and only the good Lord knows when THAT will be) is to walk through the Necropolis. Saw it from below (standing outside a cathedral) and was fascinated.
We need a spot on our page to write a blurb about ourselves. (Sorry if there's one there and I'm just missing it!) My husband Jack and I have just the one daughter. She and her husband (Shannon, after the river, poor guy!) have two wonderful boys, 2 1/2 and almost 4. We're fortunate that they live really close and in a very cool small city (reminiscent of a lot of the towns we drove through on your side of the big pond), so we see them often.
