We'd like to know the top 10 things you have been listening to in the past few days. Give us some interesting ideas. These are not your all time faves. This is what you're actually listening to now!
Listening to Hezekiah Jones's Cupcakes for the Army as I type. This song was dedicate to a friends son last night at their show. He is stationed in Cicily right now but just got back about three months ago. That was so sweet. Getting back into TV on the Radio. Hoots and Hell Mouth ( saw Sean Hoots last night) Carolina Chocolate Drops, Dawes, and rocking it out with Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi.
You can can only find music this good in someones backyard. http://youtu.be/dM-SFwTjN7k Carrie Elkin leads the lovely ladys line up, with Liz Longley, Nicolette Good, Devon Sproule, Dana Falconberry, and Raina Rose in closing "Girls Gone Wyldwood Volume II" with a tribute to John Prine at the Wyldwood.
oh i'm so glad dave mentioned them. maryanne, you are going to LOVE THEM. sadly dave passed away and tracy is solo. but those songs together are absolutely amazing!
What is exciting is that Tracy was packing to move and found a box of tapes, all unrelease songs she and Dave did. One CD had been published. "Little Blue Egg".
What I like about that version is the intro. The intro is important. It lets you gather up the listeners, get them in sync with the tempo of the words to come.
Danny Schmidt is another musician good with the intro. Danny has been called by many as a modern day Dave Carter.

Thank you for all the shares :-) I could not find Barefoot Waltz ... and believe me I tried! I voted Comforts Sigh as one of my favs on her page :-)
On a different NOTE I have also been listening to Goyte's Somebody I used to Know and other songs by him and Walk Off The Earth who do a remix of Goyte's song Somebody... To Know. I also really enjoy the videos
Last couple hours, I've been listening to Kathleen Edwards. I've had her CD for a few months now and have ejoyed it very much. Highly recommended. http://www.kathleenedwards.com/n.htm
When I was young, teenager and twenties, GOGO was popular. Nancy Sinatrra's 'These boot are made for walking' came out of that era. Notice the boots, GOGO boots. Was a style fad also. Or thats how I remember after 50 years.
A search of Google for 'GOGO music' may prove me wrong. Must read more. I do know it had some popularity here in the Houston area and the kids and I watched it on BW TV.
This station sponsers a secret concert every once in a while. They do not tell you who the artist will be or where the venue is. On the date. On the day they will tell you the artist and location. Once you had to go down a manhole in to a storm drain and find your way with a flash light. Another was under a train trestle. Another under a freeway overpass.....
lots of good music shared here! thanks! I am plugged into my iPod and letting it shuffle songs into my ears ... John Mayer is singing at this moment; Father's Be Good To Your Daughters
