I'm grateful for you folks and this page.  Also, today I am grateful for the United States of America. I got an email from BarackObama.com about the DREAM Act, featuring the story an undocumented immigrant, giving me a chance to tell my story.  I clicked on the link and explained my grandfather's story, how he worked hard after he emigrated from Romania and kept his family from starving in the Depression.  I am grateful that this nation has extended its welcome to so many like our ancestors.  There are things broken about this nation, but they can be fixed. The important thing is that we work together to fix them and that we continue to welcome all those who come here ready to work hard for a better life.  I am grateful for the willingness of those Americans who have done that and are still doing that today. I am grateful that many years ago when I first accepted God as my belief, despite everything I did afterward, He never broke His promise and has always been with me....and that means, He protected me through my hard times and continues to give me great joy and Mercy now. More later because I have MUCH times infinity for which to be grateful. Blessings,

i am sincerely grateful for you guys sharing your gratitudes! they make me feel better about everything. maryanne, a good husband is a true blessing! connie jean, having a good relationship with God is also a very special kind of blessing that can help in every situation. and it's not easy to have for some people. pamela, your comment is so hopeful and so true. we have the wonderful fundamentals from which to build the best society ever. and so much of that is based on immigration. really, all of it. i, too, have come from a family where gratitude towards those who were kind to immigrants is the reason i'm here writing right now! :-) 

So grateful for finding Bart 15 years ago today! Well, I should say, he found me through a personal ad!!  Meeting him changed everything!!  Life has never been the same!!

i'm extremely grateful today for the big gift i had yesterday when a lovely older woman called out of nowhere to ask for my mother. my mother has passed away, but this woman went to elementary school with her, and she was able to tell me all kinds of fun things about her. she also told me what i knew...that my mom was a wonderful person, loads of fun, and a fantastic friend. it was such a great valentine's gift!

Good Morning Great Grateful souls! I am grateful for all the people who have been helping me as I recover and I am grateful for my hot cup of coffee this morning and for french toast made with gluten free bread and grateful for the internet and grateful for my mom's company (she lives with me) AND Maryrose congrats on your love and Lisa what a gift from nowhere! amazing! yep, life is amazing! Have a good one!

I'm grateful because 2/15, my birthday, my daughter and I actually had a civilized lunch together at Junior's (we have a troubled relationship and usually can't go places together without an argument), and she asked the waiter if he could bring me a slice of cheesecake with a candle in it because it was my birthday, and 6 waitstaff came with him to sing "Happy Birthday"!  It was a nice moment in a mostly challenging family existence, and for that I am grateful.

Happy Birthday Pam and I share your gratitude ... may there be more and more moments for you where your relationship only gets better and better and may you receive more cheesecake too! Hugs!

i thought i'd start out my morning with a gratitude or two. i'm particularly grateful for the people in my life who are consistently kind even when i'm expecting the worst. it's incredibly wonderful to have anyone much less more than one person who can remind you there is good in the world when things are rocky. in fact such people are like rocks in a storm. 

beautiful observation Lisa :-) I must be doing too much creative writing lately because you statement, "...people are like rocks in a storm" had me seeing rocks flying around in a storm! Ouch! I know what you mean, I just had to share and be grateful for being able to laugh!

This is definitely a good idea! We don't spend enough time being grateful for what we have. :) I am grateful for a lot to be honest. First and foremost, I am grateful for still being here, for being to live, grow, learn, share, love. I am grateful to be a part of this site and WordPress, getting to share my thoughts and writings and to also be inspired by what others have to share. It's an amazing thing to be able to do! There is more, but I will share more later so I don't turn this into a novel. <3

I'm grateful today for my rock band and my musical friends.  Sometimes I need to be reminded that there are people in my life who value me for my gifts and talents. :)

I like laughter too, Katie.  It allows me to pass the time with people on stressful days. :)

I am grateful for the block option on Facebook :-) and very very very grateful for Wiffledust especially when I am pretty much house bound like now.

I agree with you, Katie. Laughter is amazing. I am grateful today for having another day to be with those I love, for my health, for my friends, and definitely for music. Music has helped me a lot over the years. I am also thankful for this site where I can write and share with others and see what others have to share. :)

I'm grateful for the way snow looks like powdered sugar first thing in the morning dusting the day with clean fresh white goodness!

Me, too, Lisa!  At 7am this morning all the trees out my window had an inch of snow on them!  It was so pretty! By 11am it was melting off :| but it was nice while it lasted!

i'm grateful for the chirping birdies outside the window on this sunday morning! it means spring is here, and some beauty is on its way!

I'm grateful for Palm Sunday and for taking the opportunity to serve the church's weekly Sunday Dinner to 60 poor and homeless people who really appreciated a hot meal!  Got to make friends with some of the nice people warming and serving the food and it was really a worthwhile experience!

and there are many poor and homeless people grateful for YOU!

the weather was glorious here today. i am so grateful for that smell of spring in the air. it is particularly beautiful in the northeast where the cherry blossoms are doing their thing. soon the blooms will burst into color, and the creativity of the universe will be on display in full force. life renews!

i'm grateful for the cool rain much more than the hot air!

I''m grateful for April mornings in Pennsylvania. You can smell the blossoms the minute you open the door. The air is still crisp. The colors are gently turning from brown to green. The buildings are made of stone and brick and wood. The bunnies are hopping around. Spring is springing!

I'm grateful for the bright green tiny leaves on the trees outside my kitchen window.  Also the daffodils, hyacinths and tulips in local gardens.

i'm so grateful that the people of boston had a more peaceful night last night, and grateful for first responders everywhere who have helped from waco to boston. 

i'm grateful for helen, the creator of this group. she's a fine person in every respect, and it's an honor to know her!!! 

i'm so grateful those girls were found!!!

i'm very grateful for having had one of the best and perhaps unconventional mothers there ever was. she was intelligent, funny, witty, wise, and full of life. i understand her more with every day i live...she was a wonderful role model in a million ways, and i am a very grateful daughter! happy mother's day!

I'm so grateful for all of the soldiers..men and women...who have given their lives so that we could be here freely creating, freely discussing art, free to decide what art is, free to criticize our country, free to demand our day in court, free to do an honest day's work and be compensated for it....there are people who paid a price for this. We remember you! Happy Memorial Day!

i'm so grateful for air conditioning and for someone who let me speak today.

Prayers for your right arm, Nancy.  I'm grateful I can get around. My left leg spends much of the day telling me I can't. Dr. who treated me for Carpal Tunnel said it sounds like sciatica, so now I have a referral to get PT for THAT! Have to call to set up an appointment. I'm grateful I had the willingness to get the referral, now I must be willing to set up the appointment!

Pamela PT is wonderful..I had the sciatica thing a couple of summers back...it was amazing what PT can do..prayers that it will help you as much as it did me...we are so lucky to be living in this time...there are so many options..not that long ago my 2 knee replacement would not have been possible and there would not be the meds available to help my shingles...

today I feel enough better that I can look outside and see the sunshine and think how happy it makes me...and that the pain and burning are enough less I can go out and enjoy my own yard...

i am so grateful that so many of our wiffledust members who were in tonight's wild weather have checked in safely. many were underground for prolonged periods of time very scared. how lucky we are to have not lost them. 

i am grateful the little deaf boy had the miracle surgery that allowed him to hear his father's voice. i just saw his face as he heard his dad, and it was priceless!

I am grateful for all the firefighters, both volunteer and professional, who put their lives on the line day in and day out, especially this time of year. I am also grateful that though the smoke has been thick here at times and the drought and red flag warnings continue, so far a number of miles have separated me from the wildfires raging around the area.

i'm grateful you are separated from them too, tom! yes, the first responders are amazingly unselfish. we are so lucky that such good people stand between us and harm every day!

Today I am grateful for my food program. I'm in a monitored program where I call in my menu for the next day and eat a measured low carb food plan. I've lost 12 pounds in a month (only 10 to go, and there's a maintenance plan I will switch to in another month) and am much less compulsive about food. I also have people I can talk to about my eating habits and life. It's a beautiful thing.
