A place to celebrate what we're grateful for. It's fun to think about these things, and apparently it's good for your health too! Embrace your creativity! Go ahead and celebrate your gratitude for anything, no matter how big or small it may be!
i'm grateful for the love, support, understanding, and words of encouragement from my friends. i'm also grateful that i can share all the same with others.
I'm grateful that I am now able to volunteer some of my time to the S.P.C.A. and to teach my grandson the value of giving. We walk the dogs together this week and went to the retirement center with the pet therapy group. It's such a joy to give to others and such a joy to watch River laugh and love. We have no pets, this is our way of receiving the pleasure... a different kind of responsibility.
I'm grateful that I'm meeting with my new "coffee friend", today. I've always been a one best friend type personality. Although, this year I made a decision to expand my world of friendships by re-defining friendship. Now not only do I have a "Best" friend, I also have a north and south best friend. I am not one that normally likes labels. However, I have chosen to be creative with this area of my life by naming my new friends like facebook friends, writer friend, Mo-Pro friends, quilter friend, spa friend, and buddy friend. So, I'm grateful for my abundance of friends and the expansion in my life. I've always been a friendly kind of person, only now I'm even more friendly.
i'm grateful that the day after my surgury Otis and I get to go recover in east texas, with my family. mom and pop are gonna take good care of us, and i won't feel like i'm putting someone out. i'll be in the house i grew up in, and otis will have a friend to play with.
i'm also grateful for all the love and support i'm constantly receiving from friends, old and new.
I'm soooooo grateful for today is the day the pool men have come to put a new liner in our in ground pool. We'll be back swimming within the week! It's hot, hot, hot here in S.C. And the new liner looks fabulous, loving the design I picked out.
i'm so grateful for really great new friends. and lillian, you are sooo lucky to have a pool. it is a summer like this one that makes me want one so badly. i might just head your way and dive in!!! karrie, i'm grateful you have your mom and pop too. i miss mine so much. enjoy them!!1
...yes Lisa, I am fortunate to have a pool...two things one needs in the south during the summer are air-condition and a pool! One word of caution though, having a pool means work and money. This is our first and we were swept away with the idea of providing a pool for our grandson. Knowing what I do now, would I do it, again? Maybe!
a pool makes the summer not only bearable but NICE. we took care of neighbor's pool every summer when i was a child, so it was like having our own. they went away. it was wonderful. i don't remember being hot ever.
Today, I am grateful that someone I coached with a metaphor of the
door exercise moved through a grief process. I was very touched by her process. Her writing and drawings were clear and healing.
I'm also grateful that I have now reread a huge journal from back in the days of doing the Artist Way. I look forward to writing another page.
And my bike ride was cooler this morning after our storm...and our pool is almost filled. Life is good!
I'm so grateful today for the cooler weather. It won't last past today probably. Maybe one more day. But after that heat wave, I was getting worn out from the heat. And something as simple as a breeze, makes all the difference!!!
I'm grateful for my parents, who are taking care of me, and my dog Otis, while I'm recovering from surgury. I live in a second floor apartment, and Otis is almost 50 pounds, so staying at my own home was not an option. I'm also grateful for the wiffledust community of creators who are helping me find the courage to share my own creativity/voice/journey. lots of gurus/mirrors here. matter of fact, i'm feelin' sorta giddy!
well i'm grateful for you, karrie. you are a wonderful example of grace, bravery, creativity, kindness, and humor!!!! i'm so grateful that you are part of us. you are precisely the type of person that i was hoping to attrack..and lookey lookey! here you are! sending you strength in your recovery and many hugs!!!
I'm grateful for a wonderful day filled with joy. Moments of biking, writing, meditating...time spent watching my grandson, River swim, teaching him a magic trick, and going out for ice-cream. Moments spent with a friend enjoying catch up time over a cup of coffee at our New Moon Cafe. And precious moments with my hubby conversing on our swing under the cool evening hours. Thank you God, for yet another blessed day!
.... I am grateful for an awesome 4th of July. We had some wonderful people at out cook-out/swim party, fabulous weather, delicious water temp., fantastic food, fantabulous fireworks at Woodside following!!
I am grateful for the delicious foods available at my local farmer's market. The other night I ate a delicious meal of wild boar sausages with fresh homemade pasta, all bought from the market. Yum!
I'm extremely grateful to share my work with people like our own, Karrie C.
I am so passionate about my work and have been biting at the bullet to put it back out there after spending the last few years raising my grandson. Even though, I have dabbled to keep my passion alive when I could, I am free now to put my best foot forward now that he has reunited with his mother. I love working with artistic people.
and i am extremely grateful for you, Lillian! when i read your blog on how you did a complete turnaround in your life, finding work that feeds your spirit, i knew i could learn much from you. thank you for putting your own creative spirit into helping me connect with my own!
i'm also grateful for my wonderful parents! it's been great to recover from my surgury here with them, in my childhood home. otis and i have really enjoyed being here.
i'm so grateful for the rain this morning. the grass had turned to straw, and everyone's spirits were getting heavy from the heatwave. nothing like a good rain to clear out the emotions and put some green in the grass!
I'm grateful to have found this site, for one thing.
I'm so grateful for my family. And my spouse, who I happen to love and he loves me right back, every time.
I have the best friends ever who are there for me when I need them.
Music. I'm grateful for music.
Words. I love words.
I am grateful that my hair has natural curl, and is loving this weather.
And I am grateful that I got an A/C this summer!
And..I am grateful that our group continues to get gigs via word of mouth
Karrie, your welcome... I like to think that we help others, we are helping ourselves, too. You are a complete joy to be working with, I received such pleasure hearing your process of healing.
gracey, i'm so grateful you found this site too! you're a beautiful addition here! sherry, BOY , do i relate to the gratitude for a/c!!! woo hoo for that!i'm grateful for all of you each and every day. those with natural curl and those with straight! ;-)
I'm grateful that today is my day to go to the SPCA with my darling grandson, River and spend time with my friend, Mary as we mediate together in the afternoon hours. I am grateful that I no longer rush through life and that I am trusting of the here and now... as I thank God for the most precious gifts of the use of my hands and heart.
good morning all! i'm grateful for the good people around me and for the wonderful new people i am meeting on here. you folks are surely not here by accident. you have some of the most joyful playful spirits i have ever met, and i'm so grateful to know you! ;-)
I'm grateful to be here, meeting so many creative people, too! No accidents is right, Lisa! I'm grateful to have a renewed plan to pursue music therapy. I am energized and excited that my PRESENT circumstances are helping me move forward with a purpose. And, for friends and family who love and support me as I make the transitions. I'm grateful that I'm a Phoenix, rising from the ashes!
music therapy can be a magical experience, karrie! i taught a girl from japan who was studying music therapy, and her world opened up so much every day she did this. she learned so much from her clients and herself. creativity opens doors in healing all the time! you're going to be great. thanks for sharing yourself, girl!!!!!
I'm grateful that I turned 59 today. By all rights, it's a miracle that I am here today. I am so thankful for all the friends that have befriended me, flowers, presents, dinners, desserts and love sent from far and near on this special occasion. I really appreciate this message from a friend...celebrate Lillian.
lillian, i think i speak for everyone here when i say we're all grateful that you're here too! and i think anyone who has been through illness is particularly grateful to have another birthday. you're not only alive, but thriving. celebrate, indeed!!
I'm simply grateful to be me...sounds silly I know but there was time I wasn't... I had a friend send me a birthday wish that simply said, "celebrate Lillian"... I loved that message!
i'm grateful for a chance to get to know this little puppy...what a fuzzy little furball. but my experience with dogs is that each one has a little piece of wisdom (at the very least) to share with you. and this one has shared quite a bit with me!
In grateful for the universal energy, too, Lisa! I'm moving in the direction I desire, in so many ways. Today I'm going to an interview near Austin, Texas, where I'm focusing my energy to physically move! I'm eternally grateful for the events that prompted this transformation in me and my life!
Music. Friends. Our Tuesday Night Music Club was begun a year and a half ago was by me and my long time buddy Gene Collier as a way to get together weekly and exercise our dormant musical muscles. Just a casual thing. It's grown to attract other younger musicians from college towns across the state as well as some old hands long entrenched in the regional music scene. It's become an inspiration to all concerned. New songs every week, new turns of phrasing, new enthusiasm for mending hearts. If we had planned this as an end result it would never have worked. We had no idea! And DJ....I am thankful to her for opening her home to us to and welcoming all stripes of musical vagabonds to share her home on Tuesday nights. And thank you Lord for your hand in this.
Wednesdays dawn a little more glorious.....
rick, what a lovely post. music brings EVERYONE of every type together, doesn't it? i wish i lived closer so i could come to one of your tuesday nights. it sounds like a little piece of heaven here on earth!!!
I simply have to respond to Rick's writing here. Isn't it wonderful how your passion propelled you in the direction you wanted to go without the regard of the outcome. So, many of us are taught to be goal oriented...focus on the goal. I just loved hearing your process. May more and more glorious days unfold for you in your musical journey.
